Flo-Torq 2 Hub Design!
Mercury Marine Propeller Company really came up with a great idea with
the new Flo-Torq 2 propeller hub design.
This patented product offers the same level
of of protection for the drive train and "limp home" capability as the older
Flo-Torq
rubber hub design. The new hub is MUCH easier to replace than the old rubber hub
style.
Once a Flo-Torq 2 Drive Hub has been installed the first time, a boater can
replace it himself in minutes!
Most of the new Mercury Propellers have the Flo-Torq 2 Design incorporated from
the factory.
Many of the older props that have a square style hub can be converted to the
Flo-Torq 2 Hub System!
Any new MMPC propeller that has a part number ending in A45 or A46 will have the
Flo-Torq 2 Kit included.
The Bravo One and Mirage Plus Props that have the Flo-Torq 2 "SOLID HUB"
assembly
will have a "A55" in the part number
Typhoon Propellers that have the Flo-Torq 2 will NOT have a "T" in its part
number.
Here is what's neat....... by purchasing the correct hub(s) for your
applications....
it is possible to convert the same prop to be used on an OMC too!
Another really nifty feature is being able to completely repair a spun
hub while
out on the water!
