The JLR-10 is a GPS compass that uses two GPS antennas to give a true heading. The compass consists of an antenna unit, processing unit and display unit. Connection to JRC Radars allows operation of the radar system in both North-up and ATA Modes. It can also be used to provide heading information to JRC's JHS-180 AIS system. The JLR-10 requires no maintenance or calibration, making it less expensive to operate and maintain than a gyro system. Not affected by magnetic or natural anomalies, the JLR-10 is far more reliable than traditional magnetic heading devices and easier to install. Given it's compact design, and because it uses only two antennae, the JLR-10 can be mounted virtually anywhere. Also, the JLR-10 is the only compass that provides navigational features including course, speed, route, and waypoint navigation.

Features
Antenna:	Adopts a 2-antenna type that is superior in the direction accuracy, availability and easy installation.
Calibration / Maintenance:	Needs no maintenance, compared to a standard gyrocompass that needs both regular maintenance and calibration.
Settling Time:	From a cold start, settling is just 3 MINUTES, compared to the 3 to 5 hours stabilization required for a gyrocompass.
Outputs:	Outputs position and ground speed data as well as ship’s heading.
Direct Connection:	Outputs high speed JRC NSK Format to directly connect to the JRC Radar JMA-3800, JMA-3900 and JMA-7700 series and the JHS-180 AIS.
Synchro Output: (Optional)	Connects with the synchro-type of repeater compass, radar, autopilot, sonar, AIS and tide meter through the optional interface.
