Features
The model 150WX is AIRMAR’s solution for stationary, deployable, and mobile
land based weather monitoring applications. Feature rich, and encased in a
durable, rugged, small footprint that is IPX4 or IPX6 rated has enabled the
model 150WX to be successfully deployed as an integral component for numerous
stationary and deployable solutions, most notably the JBTDS HazMat program.
(NOTE: The model 150WX with built-in GPS and electronic compass is often the
model of choice for portable deployable solutions and land based stationary
applications based on its GPS position and time stamping functionality and
compass heading which self-aligns to North. Therefore orienting the sensor to
North is not required.)
The model 150WX calculates the theoretical wind speed and direction based
upon the apparent wind, speed of the vehicle/vessel, and vehicle/vessel heading.
Theoretical wind speed and direction is significant for numerous applications
and is often mission-critical. The WeatherStation 150WX has been integrated into
a mobile agriculture OEM platform and enabled several mobile agriculture
after-market solution providers to enhance their solutions.
