CommBox Network Manager Capabilities

TracPhone V3-HTS’s Integrated CommBox Modem is the streamlined all-in-one belowdecks unit. It has a built-in CommBox Ship/Shore Network Manager so customers can add CommBox networking functionality with a subscription to a software bundle and without needing to purchase hardware.

KVH OneCare spans the entire lifecycle of your mini-VSAT Broadband solution, from design and selection of the best possible solution, to the smooth implementation of that solution, and post-deployment services and support to maximize long-term performance.

Global Static IP Addresses

KVH has established a global private terrestrial network that links all mini-VSAT Broadband teleports worldwide. This approach enables us to provide substantially more robust malware and threat detection along with enhanced network security. The network also allows KVH to offer a static IP service providing a single public IP address for your TracPhone V3-HTS no matter where it is operating in the world. This service allows secure addressability of a system on board your boat or yacht from the Internet.

Virtual "Local" Numbers

The mini-VSAT Broadband voice service offers a fantastic cost-saving option – virtual “local” phone numbers. For an additional fee, you may assign up to five virtual local phone numbers to the phone line. Each of these numbers can be set up with a different country code and area/city code, allowing people on shore within those regions to avoid international or long-distance charges when they call you when onboard.

Premium KVH Vessel Tracking Service

Immediate access to up to a year of history specific to your boat or yacht’s track history; latest position and weekly position reports; automatic, secure generation of position reports; in-app purchase only $49 USD per month per vessel. Available via the secure myKVH Portal's mini-VSAT Manager and offered to all KVH mini-VSAT Broadband subscribers.

Iridium Pilot Optional Backup

Available for active mini-VSAT Broadband accounts, Iridium Pilot can be added as a secondary system providing pole-to-pole global coverage for data and voice. The Iridium Pilot hardware must be purchased in addition to selecting an Iridium OpenPort airtime plan. With Iridium Pilot onboard and interfaced with TracPhone V3-HTS for least cost routing, the vessel’s LAN and Wi-Fi networks will automatically switch from TracPhone V3-HTS/mini-VSAT Broadband service to Iridium Pilot/Iridium OpenPort service when needed.

The secure myKVH portal’s mini-VSAT Manager suite of tools gives you valuable insight and control over data usage to manage your operational and personal use.

• Set up and receive usage alerts and see detailed daily and monthly usage reports to stay up to date on your monthly data consumption.
• View your yacht’s track with up to one year of position data updated as frequently as every 90 seconds.
